UP CM Yogi Adityanath looks for closer ties with Israel
New Delhi, July 26(HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held meeting with Israeli ambassador Ron Malka in Lucknow on Thursday. In this meeting, support of Israel in UP defence corridor and Jewar International Airport was actively sought by chief minister.
He also sought Israeli support in modernizing UP police infrastructure i.e., control room and command centres and police force. And in response, Israeli ambassador also expressed willingness and commitment of his country to cooperate in all the possible ways by sharing cutting edge technologies and flagship programmes in defence, agriculture and water conservation.
CM Yogi has also been invited to the Tel Aviv defence conference scheduled to be held in September 2019 and water conservation conference in November 2019. He also seeks to make use of Israeli innovative technologies in water recycling, drinking water supplies, irrigation and food processing. Ron Malka has also asked to prepare feasibility report on water conservation and groundwater recharging in the Bundelkhand as Israel increased its agricultural output with 94 percent recycled water resources.CM Yogi has asked officials to carry pilot project for water supply with Israeli model.
It is noteworthy that Netanyahu Prime Minister of Israel was welcomed by chief minister Yogi when former visited Taj Mahal on January 16, 2018 on his tour to India. There has been closer ties between India and Israel after the respective prime ministers of the both countries came into power.
