UP becomes 1st state in country to have immunized more than 20 lakh people

Lucknow, 07 March (HS) :     Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed to maintain an effective system of prevention and treatment from Covid-19. He said that despite a significant decrease in the rate of infection, the risk of Corona is not yet over. Therefore, it is necessary to be vigilant at every level.

The Chief Minister was reviewing the unlock system at a high-level meeting at his official residence on Sunday. He said that testing has an important role in breaking the Corona infection chain. He emphasized on focus testing while giving instructions to conduct the testing work at full capacity. He instructed to conduct contact tracing and surveillance work with full activeness.

Expressing satisfaction over Uttar Pradesh being the first place in the country in the Corona vaccination work, the Chief Minister instructed to carry out the drive of Covid vaccination at full speed. It may be noted here that Uttar Pradesh has become the first state in the country to vaccinate more than 20 lakh people so far.

The Chief Minister directed all the District Magistrates and Chief Medical Officers to ensure that the data of the vaccinated people in their district is regularly recorded on the portal daily till 05 pm. He directed the officials to conduct regular monitoring of the Covid vaccination work and that more and more people in the targeted age group should be motivated and encouraged to get vaccinated. He said that benefits of Integrated Command and Control Centre set up at district level should be availed for Covid vaccination work.

Yogi expressed satisfaction over Uttar Pradesh providing the most online consultations in the country through the e-Sanjeevani app. He directed to make widespread of the e-Sanjeevani app and said that more and more people should be provided online medical counseling facilities through it. It was informed in the meeting that through the e-Sanjeevani app in the state, so far, online medical consultation has been received by more than 5.96 lakh persons, which is the highest in the country.

The CM said that the arrangements at Covid hospitals should be kept up to date. Keeping people constantly aware about the prevention of corona infection, they should be informed about the mandatory use of masks and adopting social distancing, he stated further. He directed to make wide use of various media as well as public address systems in the process of creating awareness.
