Uma Bharati, Siddaramaiah to meet Sri Sri Vishveshateerth Swamiji today
Bengaluru, 23 December(HS): Ms Uma Bharati, former Madhya Pradesh chief minister, senior Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) leader and Siddaramaiah, former chief minister and Congress Legislature Party(CLP) leader are scheduled to visit the Kasturba Medical College(KMC) hospital in Manipal near Udupi district headquarters later today to inquire the health of Sri Sri Vishveshateerth Swamiji of Pejawar Mutt.
It may be recalled that Ms Uma Bharati has been a disciple of the Swamiji since decades and it was Sri Sri Vishveshateerth Swamiji who bestowed upon her the “Sanyasa” deeksha.
The former pontiff of Pejawar Mutt was admitted to the hospital on last Friday early in the morning following complaints of breathlessness and since then has been put on ventilator for enabling him artificial respiration.
According to the team of doctors attending him, the health condition was critical for the first two days but has started improving from Yesterday evening and he has been responding to the antibiotics and other life saving drugs medication.
The hospital sources have informed that the team of doctors will ponder over today on changing the medication since there has been considerable improvement in the health parameters. However, the ailing Seer continues to remain in the Intensive Care Unit(ICU) of the hospital.
