Two persons out of 53, brought back from Iran, tested coronavirus positive
New Delhi, March 16 (HS): Another aircraft of Air India on Monday morning, carrying 53 Indian nationals including 18 men and 35 women reached Jaiselmer in Rajasthan where they all have been admitted to the Army Wellness centre for further investigation on coronavirus testing.
After reaching the airport, all the passengers were taken to the Army hospital in two different buses after fully screened at the airport by the medical officials. All 53 persons would be quarantine for next 15 days in the Army Wellness centre.
Special isolation wards have been built in the wellness centre who are working under supervision of Army. After 14 days, they all would be sent to their respective homes if found medically fit.
On Sunday, two Air India air crafts brought back 236 Indian nationals including 100 women and 136 men. They all were admitted to Army hospital in Jaiselmer where two of them were tested positive for coronavirus. Their swab and blood samples have been sent for examination.
On the other hand, the Government of Rajasthan has notified Corona under the Rajasthan Epidemic Diseases Act. After malaria, dengue, swine flu and TB, corona has now been added into that category. After being notified, now every doctor of the state, whether it is government or private practitioner, will have to immediately inform the government about every patient with symptoms of coronavirus.
Meanwhile the Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Sunday reviewed the preparations for coronavirus through video conferencing with all the district collectors. Gehlot has appealed all the people of the state to avoid going to all type of gathering.
