Two killed, 40 trapped in Dongri area of Mumbai
Maharashtra, July.16 (HS): A four-storey building collapsed in Dogri area of Mumbai, in which 50 people are feared trapped. The NDRF team is engaged in rescue operations on the spot. According to the latest information, a child has been rescued from the debris.
The team of NDRF has reached the spot and the rescue work is on. It is being told that the building was quite old and due to the continuous rains in Mumbai, it was very weak. The BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s )officials said that it is difficult to tell about the number of people trapped in debris. But forty to fifty people are feared trapped. Right now, the people trapped in debris are the priority of securing it. It is difficult to say something immediately about why the building has fallen.
Officials said that the collapsed building was in a shabby condition. The foundation of the building was also weak.Authorities also said that the area where this incident has happened is difficult to reach.
