Two days workshop on “Mobile Radiation Detection System”

Hyderabad (Telangana), July 05 (HS): National Disaster Management Authority, New Delhi has selected Hyderabad City along with 55 cities in other states for implementing its pilot project on “Mobile Radiation Detection System” in which Police are the first responders.

As the system involves handling of special instruments and training to Police personnel, Commissioner of Police Anjani Kumar, Hyderabad City organised 2-days workshop on “Mobile Radiation Detection System” for constables, officers at Conference Hall, Basheer Bagh, Hyderabad.

On this occasion Anjani Kumar stated that police are the first hope for the public. Whenever any incident occurs in the society, be it floods, building collapse, earth quake, fire accident etc, thet are always there. And, the usage of technology in today’s modern world is growing rampantly and its use and misuse shall be known equally by all.

Police must be well prepared and well equipped in all forms of such incidents, to mitigate its impact and ability to control any situation. The participants of this workshop must have to understand and share the impact of Radio Nuclear disasters on the society and police as emergency response team must provide relief to public, he added.
