Two arrested with 7 KG Cannabis in Gurugram

New Delhi, 12 March (HS): The Gurugram police have arrested two drug peddlers and seized seven kilograms of cannabis from their possession.

The accused have been identified as Rambhagat Singh aka Goli of Dundahera village in Gurugram and Rahul Kumar alias RK of Budaun in Uttar Pradesh. The police have also seized a motorcycle which the accused used for transportation of the contraband.

According to the police, the accused were arrested by a crime unit Sector-39 from Ram Chowk near Dundahera village in Gurugram after they received a tip-off. The police said the suspect were nabbed red handed by the crime branch team of the Gurugram police.

During interrogation, the accused disclosed that they procured the contraband from Bhubaneswar in Odisha for Rs 3,000 per kg and would sell it for Rs 14,000 per KG in the city.

A case under various sections of the IPC including NDPS Act has been registered at Udyog Vihar police station and further investigation into the matter is on,” said Subhash Boken, the spokesperson of the Gurugram police.
