Tribal Affairs Minister inaugurates State Power lifting Championship
Khunti, 28 February 2021 (HS)State Powerlifting Championship was inaugurated by Union Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda at Khunti on Sunday. Events including 44 kilogram (kg), 48 kg, 53 kg, 58 kg, 64 kg, 72 kg, 84 kg and 100 kg were held for women category while 55 kg, 62 kg, 69 kg, 77 kg, 85 kg, 94 kg, 105 kg and 120 kg were held for the men’s category.
Hema Kumari was declared the Strong Woman and Waist Lifter in Deadlift Anup Kumar was announced the Strong Man. Waist Lifter in Bench Press Purnima Kandulna was given away the Best Lifter in Bench Press award and D Rai was given the Best Lifter in Dead list award.
The players were felicitated with a cash of Rs 10,000 each with trophy.
