Top JeM terrorist Afgani killed in Shopian encounter
Jammu, March 15: Jammu and Kashmir Police and Security Forces have eliminated two terrorists including a top JeM commander in Shopian encounter on Monday. Reports said after a lull of 24 hours, firing resumed between the terrorists and security forces at Rawalpora in South Kashmir’s Shopian district this morning. The encounter, which has entered its third day, started on Saturday after specific inputs regarding the presence of terrorists. A joint cordon and search operation was launched by the police, army’s 34 RR and the CRPF. Police made official that Security forces have killed two terrorists including a top Jaish-e-Mohammed Commander Sajjad Afghani, but search operation is still going on. IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar has also congratulated Shopian police and Security Forces for eliminating Afghani. Further details to follow.
