Today I am as happy as I am sad: Atishi

New Delhi : After being nominated as the Chief Minister of Delhi, Atishi said in her first address that “Today I am as happy as I am sad. Do not congratulate me for becoming the Chief Minister, do not garland me.”

She said that the people of entire Delhi are saddened by Kejriwal’s resignation. Atishi said, “First of all, I thank Arvind Kejriwal, who has given me such a big responsibility. Kejriwal trusted me. Thanks to my leader and guru Kejriwal for this.” She further said, “This can happen only in Aam Aadmi Party where a first-time MLA is made the Chief Minister. I am very happy that Arvind Kejriwal trusted me, but at the same time I am sad that Arvind Kejriwal is resigning today.”

Attacking the BJP, Atishi said, “There is only one Chief Minister of Delhi and that is Arvind Kejriwal. The BJP made false allegations against an honest man, kept him in jail for 6 months in a false case, misused agencies. But the Supreme Court not only granted bail to Kejriwal but also slapped them on the face.”

Atishi said, the people of Delhi know that if Arvind Kejriwal is not the Chief Minister of Delhi, then good education, free electricity, free travel and hospitals will all stop here. Arvind Kejriwal is honest, she further said, as the Chief Minister till the elections, I will do only one thing that is to make Arvind Kejriwal the Chief Minister again. The schemes which the BJP and the Lieutenant Governor will try to stop have to be kept running.
