To outline priorities of NDA govt, Modi to meet secretaries of all ministries
New Delhi, June 10 (HS): To outline the priorities of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will have his first meeting with senior bureaucrats of various departments after taking charge of the government for a second consecutive term this evening.
Sources said that during the meeting, Modi is expected to outline the roadmap of his government and at the same time, take feedback from the top officials.
However, the meeting is scheduled to be held at PM’s residence at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg @ 6:30 pm. The Principal Secretary to Prime Minister, Additional Principal Secretary to PM and the Cabinet Secretary would be attending this meeting along with secretaries of all ministries, sources added.
It may be recalled that in 2014, after assuming charge as Prime Minister, Modi had held a similar meeting in his first term with secretaries of various ministries at regular intervals. In his previous term, the PMO had formed eight group of secretaries on various subjects to bring reforms in governance.
Modi has been working with state chief secretaries on a monthly basis. On May 25, Modi interacted with the staff of Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and emphasised on making the PMO ‘efficient’ rather than ‘effective’.
