Three truck loads of foreign liquor worth one crore seized in Gopalganj

Chapra/Gopalganj,16 July,2019 (HS) Police today seized three truck loads of foreign liquor during checking at Balthari check post under Kuchaikot police station. This check post is on the border of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. One thousand cartans of foreign liquor were hidden under marble powder bags. Drivers of the trucks have also been arrested. SHO Ritesh Kumar Singh told that regular checking of vehicles coming from Uttar Pradesh is being done on the instructions of DM Animesh Kumar Parashar and SP Rashid Zama. Arrested drivers are Sher Singh,Shaukin and Inder Pal belong to Buland Shar in Uttar Pradesh, he told. He said that the cost of seized liquor may touch up to two crores. Police are investigating the net work of this inter state gang of smugglers of liquor. He said that after the seizure of this big cache, SP Rashi Zama visited the check post and further gave instructions.
