Those creating violence would not be spared: CM Yogi.

New Delhi, Dec 20 (HS): As the protest getting violent in some districts of Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued an order not to spare those who were creating violence on the pretext of peaceful protests. The CM has also said that those who have been spreading violence and causing damage to public property would not be spared and their property would be confiscated to make good to the loss.

According to the sources, the CM has directed his officials to take necessary action against those who were creating violence, arson, setting on fire the police vehicles and other vehicles, damaging buildings, etc.

CM’s reaction came amidst reports of violence from different parts of the state where the agitators have pelted stones, arson and reportedly opened fire at the police party.

After getting orders from CM, the police have arrested more than a dozen miscreants from Gorakhpur, Amroha, and Hapur, who were found indulged in throwing petrol bombs and pelting stones at the police party. A senior police official said, ” Those who have been arrested are not students. Maximum of those belong to a certain religion who revealed that they were doing it after getting directions from some political leaders in opposition.”

The situation in Vadodara has been seen even worst where the miscreants even fired at the police party. In return police also had to open fire at them. A senior police official from the state, on the condition of anonymity, said, “these miscreants are politically motivated people from a certain religion, not the students, who are creating violence in the state.”

He also said that the police have arrested many of them with criminal cases registered against them. “But the government is not giving us orders to hit them back assuming that they are students,” the senior official said.

According to the sources, some protestors have allegedly opened fire at a police party in the Vadodara district of Gujarat, reporting no casualty so far. Reacting to the situation, the police also reportedly fired some rounds to control the mob causing no harm to the people.
