Third longest human chain in Saran..
Chapra,16 Jan (HS): Saran district will witness the third-longest human chain, covering 726 kilometers and connecting with five districts. This human chain is being organized to are children, students and people of the importance of Jal, Jeevan Hariyali along with prohibition, dowry system, and child marriage.
DM Subrat Kumar Sen told that this chain has a pious aim. People of the universe have been feeling the adverse effects of the environment caused by human follies itself. Children and youth will imbibe this message from this chain and do good in the future to safeguard the environment.’
He said that this human chain would be 101-kilo meter long on the main road and 625 through rural areas crisscrossing the whole district and connecting with five districts which are Patna, Vaishali, Siwan, Gopalganj and Muzaffarpur. He underlined the importance of the concept of environment and said that each and everyone should feel concerned and do the needful.
He said that environment imbalance had hit the district last year and the drought-like situation had occurred. Water levels had gone down and hand pumps went dry. To villages also, water tankers were sent. He said that Bihar is a poor state, still, in the coming three years schemes to the tune of 24 thousand crores would be completed.
