The Edu-tech Company Byju’s raises funds of $15 crore from Qatar investor
New Delhi, July 10 (HS): A Qatar based education technology investor “Owl Ventures” will invest $15 crore in India’s leading edutech company Byju’s. The funding round was arranged under Qatar Investment Authority.These funds will be utilized for creating highly innovative and engaging learning products and making them available for students across world.
Before this funding , Bangalore based Think and Learn Pvt Ltd also got funds of $54 crore from Naspers, South African investor. This kind of fundings from overseas shows that India is making its place in digital learning worldwide and it is attracting interest of more and more investors.
It is noteworthy that Byju’s offers education and learning solutions for K12 students in India. It profitably combines technology, content and media in with high adoption and more renewal of services across India.The revenues of company has grown three fold in financial year 2018-19. Its monthly revenue is more than Rs. 200 crore and annual revenue is estimated to be Rs. 3000 crore.
