Terrorist attack in Kabul, death of Indian-American citizen Anil Raj
Kabul, Nov 27 (HS): Anil Raj, an Indian-American citizen, died in a terrorist attack in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that I want to confirm with a heavy heart that a terrorist attack on a United Nations vehicles occurred in Kabul on 24 November. Indian-American citizen Anil Raj died in this attack. Five other civilians, including staff, were injured.
Mike Pompeo said that it is wrong to target UN employees working to help Afghan people and we strongly condemn this. We express our condolences to the family and friends of the victim after this tragic incident and wish those who were injured, to get well soon.
Earlier Tuesday, Afghanistan’s eastern province Lgman the Air Force reportedly killed nine Taliban militants in two separate airstrikes. The operations command of the Afghan National Army Special Operations Corps (ANASOC) approved the attack on militant bases in Alishing and neighboring district Alingar, following which the attacks started late Monday.
