“Terrible Job!” Trump blasts Zelensky amid Russia-Ukraine tensions

Donald Trump attacked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday, calling him a “dictator” and blaming him for the ongoing war with Russia. Speaking at a press conference in Florida, Trump claimed Zelensky had done a “terrible job” and could have joined peace talks in Saudi Arabia if he wanted to.
Hours earlier, Trump had posted on Truth Social, warning Zelensky, “Move fast, or he won’t have a country left.” He accused the Ukrainian leader of dragging the U.S. into an unwinnable war and securing billions in American aid. “A modestly successful comedian convinced the U.S. to spend $350 billion on a war that never had to start,” Trump wrote.
The U.S. has been negotiating with Russia to end the war, but Zelensky refused to accept any deal that excluded Ukraine from discussions. Trump dismissed that stance, saying, “You’ve been in this war for three years. You should have ended it. You should have never started it. You could have made a deal.”
Trump insisted Russia wanted to stop the “barbarianism” and claimed thousands of soldiers were dying weekly, including Koreans. “This is a senseless war. It should have never happened,” he added.
Meanwhile, U.S. officials reassured Ukraine that it remained a key player in any peace talks. Senator Marco Rubio stated, “No one is being sidelined. Ukraine, our European partners, and Russia will all be part of the discussions.”
With Trump pushing for an end to the war, tensions between him and Zelensky continue to escalate, raising questions about America’s future support for Ukraine.
