Ten months old baby tests positive for Coronavirus infection
Bengaluru,27 March(HS): A ten months old baby has tested positive for Coronavirus infection at Sajipanadu village of Bantwal Taluk in Mangaluru district.
As a result, the whole village has been quarantined for visitors and likewise, no one from the village is permitted to venture out from the same.
According to a press release issued by the Dakshina Kannada(Mangaluru) district commissioner, the 10 months old baby was admitted to a private hospital following fever and severe acute respiratory illness on 23 March.
As per lab testing protocol, the sample was sent for testing on 24 March and it was tested positive for Covid-19 on 26 March.
In accordance with the protocol to be observed regarding the affected village is quarantined according to official sources.
