Temple attack in Canada: Khalistanis beat Hindus, leaders warn of ‘Red line’ crossed”
A recent attack on the Hindu Sabha temple in Brampton by Khalistani extremists has triggered a strong response from Canadian politicians. Opposition leader Pierre Poilievre, Toronto MP Kevin Vuong, and MP Chandra Arya all condemned the violence, calling it an alarming escalation.
Poilievre criticized the violence against Hindu worshippers, vowing to restore order in Canada. He pointed to the attack as a sign of the rising chaos in the country, pledging to take steps to protect religious communities.
MP Kevin Vuong voiced similar concerns, arguing that Canada has become a safe harbor for radicals. He emphasized the government’s failure to protect Hindus and compared it to past failures to safeguard Christians and Jewish Canadians. Vuong’s comments reflect a growing sense of frustration over perceived inaction toward rising extremism in Canada.
Chandra Arya, another Canadian MP, went further, declaring that Khalistani extremists had crossed a “red line.” Arya highlighted the violent extremism spreading across the nation, sharing a video of the temple attack on social media to raise awareness.
In his post, Arya warned that the assault on Hindu-Canadian devotees within a sacred space reflects a troubling trend of growing violence. His statement underscored the urgency of addressing radicalism in Canada before it further escalates.
The Hindu Canadian Foundation, a non-profit organization advocating for Canada’s Hindu community, also condemned the attack. The foundation released a video showing the incident, claiming that Khalistani terrorists specifically targeted children and women inside the temple.
They further alleged that pro-Khalistani politicians in Canada have been complicit in fostering an environment where such acts occur, adding a layer of political controversy to the incident.
This violent attack has intensified calls for government action, with leaders emphasizing that religious sanctuaries must remain safe. In response to the attack, Canadian leaders across the political spectrum are now pressured to address the rise in extremism and protect vulnerable communities.
The Hindu Sabha temple incident has drawn sharp attention to Canada’s handling of radicalism, with officials demanding stronger safeguards for religious minorities.
