Telangana and Delhi reports CoronaVirus case: High Alert sounded

Telangana/Hyderabad, March 03 (HS): Two new more cases of corona virus have been diagnosed each in Delhi and Telangana. In both the cases, the patients have come from overseas.
According to official sources in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare both the passengers who landed at two respective airports have been quarantined.
The Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Harsha Vardan said in a press meet, “One positive case of COVID-19 has been detected in New Delhi while another has been detected in Telangana.” The person who has tested positive from Delhi has a travel history to Italy, while the one from Telangana returned from Dubai. Further details of their travels were being ascertained. The Ministry has also said that both the patients were stable and were being closely monitored.”
Soon on receipt of information the Telangana state Health Minister held a review meet with top state health department officials and sounded high alert. Health Minister Etela Rajender was holding a meet when the reports last came in  with top officials of the health department to review the situation. A  media briefing in the evening is likely on the issue, said the ministry official.
According to the state Health department sources five air passengers arrived from Dubai who were screened later on and four were reported negative while one was reported positive. The air passenger was moved to the isolation ward of the state run Gandhi hospital and he is stable when the reports last came in.
