Teachers Federation submits memorandum to PM, Union MHRD Minister through 400 District collectors across India

Poonch, JULY. 15 (HS): All Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation (AJKLTF) affiliated with Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh (ABRSM) a premier Teachers organization submitted a charter of demands to Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Union Minister MHRD, Chief Ministers and Governors of various states through 400 district Collectors across India today. A Memorandum of 21 Point demands submitted under the chairmanship of J P Singhal, National President and Shivanand Sindenkera, National General Secretary of ABRSM.

ABRSM in its National Executive meeting held at Dehradoon on 5th of June 2019 had decided to submit charter of demands to Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Union Cabinet Minister MHRD, Chief Ministers and Governors of various states through district collectors of over 400 states across Indian on 15th of July.  Poonch unit of All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation also submitted memorandum to PM, Union Minister through DC Poonch Rahul Yadav demanding  Autonomous Secondary Education Commissions at central as well as state level.

Expenditure of 10% of GDP on Education, payment of all dues  and allowances as recommended by the 7th Pay Commissions, New Pension Scheme (NPS) be taken back, fill all vacant posts in education department, Regular Teachers be appointed for Vocational, Physical and Computer Education in Secondary Schools.

Medical allowances, free admission in Hospitals as are being provided to the teachers under the central government, The age of superannuation should be made 65 years throughout the country, Teachers should be kept free from all types of non teaching tasks, Promotion procedure be made simple and time bound, In place of Child care leave, family care leave be introduced, Teachers should be allowed to withdraw money from GPF as he/she withdraws from Bank Accounts, Highly Qualified Teachers should be given additional increment in salary, Teachers/ Masters Transfer Policy should be implemented without any delay etc.

It is pertinent to mention here that ABRSM/AJKLTF has organized various workshops in Jammu Kashmir on New Education Policy and through this memorandum submitted some suggestions which are required to be incorporated in the new Education Policy.

The deputation was comprised of Darshan Bharti, State Vice President, Gurvinder Singh, Ravinder Dutta, Mohd Iqbal, Amarjeet Singh, Sanjeev Kapoor, Jeevan Parkash, Sanjeev Dutta and Dr Dharminder Shastri.
