Suru valley archery competition held to commemorate Kargil Vijay Diwas
Srinagar, 22 July (H.S): As a prelude to Kargil Vijay Diwas-2021, an Archery competition was conducted in the premises of Army Goodwill School, Farona on 22 July by ?Forever in Operations Division? under the aegis of Fire and Fury Corps. The event marks the bravery and sacrifices of our valiant soldiers, who fought intruders from across the Line of Control and ensured the territorial integrity of our nation.
Amidst COVID protocols, a total of 30 participants aged between 18 to 35 years from 12 villages of Suru Valley participated in the competition. The event was very well received by the local populace and the youth of the valley displayed enthusiasm while testing their skills in this popular sport. The event highlighted the commitment of Indian Army to engage with the youth and groom them for a better future.
