Lucknow, 18 April (HS) : In view of spike in CORONA cases in Uttar Pradesh the Yogi Government imposed 35 hour complete lockdown in the state. It started on Saturday at 8 pm and will remain continue till Monday morning at 7 o’clock. Only essential services will be allowed during the Sunday lockdown.
The government, however has given a big relief to the labourers and workers during this 35- hour Corona curfew, keeping labour welfare as the priority in the mind.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has clearly stated that none of the industries will remain closed during the Corona curfew. The problem of workers will be taken care of, by the government. There will be no restriction on the movement of workers to and from their workplaces.
The CM has given instructions to the officials that along with the arrangements for the prevention of disease, the foremost job of the government is to take full care of the livelihood of the workers. Therefore, during the Covid curfew, make sure there is no inconvenience caused to the labourers and workers of the state. CM Yogi has clearly mentioned that strict action will be taken against the responsible officials on hearing any such complaints.
Weddings will take place but with restrictions
The stae government has directed that weddings will take place on Saturday and Sunday during the 35-hour lockdown. But some rules have to be taken care of. He has instructed to allow only 50 persons in weddings to take place inside closed spaces and 100 guests in open places. Along with this, the use of masks, sanitizers, maintain social distance and other precautions have to be followed.
Exams to be conducted as scheduled
The Uttar Pradesh government has given permission to conduct all the exams scheduled on Sunday. The government has issued instructions that the Identity Card of the candidates will be valid as a pass.
State transport buses will run with 50 percent capacity
The government has also ordered to run state transport buses with a capacity of only 50 percent passengers. While in the state capital, public transport services like auto rickshaws, tempo, e-rickshaws will be completely closed.
Only 20 people will be allowed in the funeral
The government has banned the presence of more than 20 people in the funeral procession during the 35-hour corona curfew. He has also appealed the people attending the cremation process to fully follow the Covid Protocol which includes use of masks, PPE kits and sanitizers.
