Special Director ED Sanjay Srinet is now UPPSC Chairman
PRAYAGRAJ, April 19 (HS): Sanjay Srinet, a former IRS officer, has been appointed the new chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC). On Republic Day 2010, the President presented him with a letter of gratitude for his outstanding work. Sanjay Srinet worked for the Enforcement Directorate, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, and the Indian High Commission in Britain, according to a spokesperson for the Uttar Pradesh government.
Sanjay Shrinet is a 1993 batch IRS officer. He was born on November 22, 1964, in Uttar Pradesh. His public image has been that of a fair, truthful, and hardworking officer who makes an institutionalised effort to complete his work in a timely and objective manner. Sanjay Srinet has been appointed as the new chairman of the State Public Service Commission by Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Anandiben Patel. He is a 1993 IRS officer who previously worked for the Enforcement Directorate as the Special Director of the Northern region. During his term, he confiscated over 4000 crores in properties and caught over 100 crores in tax evasion and smuggling cases.
Shrinet was also the Special Director for the Chandigarh Zone’s northern region. He was also a member of the SD Northern Area (Chandigarh, Srinagar, Jalandhar, Jaipur, Dehradun Sub-Zone as well as Shimla Sub-Zone). He received his early education at Lucknow’s Kalvin Talukedar College. He went on to study at Allahabad University and JNU after that. He graduated from the prestigious National Defense College with a master’s degree. From 2005 to 2009, he served as the First Secretary of the Indian High Commission in London after joining the IRS. From 2009 to 2014, he was the Director of Revenue Intelligence in Rajasthan, and from 2015 to 2020, he was the Special Director of the ED’s Northern Region.
