Slathia pays obeisance at Peer Baba Chamliyal, prays for peace

Jammu, June 27 (HS): Former Minister and National Conference State Secretary Mr Surjit Singh Slathia on Thursday paid tribute to Peer Baba Chamliyal in Panchayat Channi Fatwal of Ramgarh and prayed for peace and tranquility in the state and the country. “Suffis and Saints have all shown the path of righteousness, love and brotherhood, which is core of every religion”, Mr Slathia said while interacting with large number of devotees, thronging from different parts of the area this afternoon. Mr Slathia said that Jammu and Kashmir is a shining example of unity in diversity and this inclusive character of the state has withstood test of times. The unity in diversity, he said, is the strength of the state, which is necessary to be strengthened and sustained at all costs The former minister greeted the devotees on the Mela, an annual feature, and prayed for well-being of the people. He hoped that the people will struggle for preserving the glorious heritage of the state. The former minister was accompanied by Vijay Singh, Vice President, NC District Unit Samba, Om Prakash Attri, District Secretary, Block President Mohan Singh Patti besides Sarpanches Darshan Singh, Roop Lal and Mr Renu Devi. The Corporators Ravi Kumar, Darshan Kumar, Ravi Sharma and Satpal were also present on the occasion. They also paid obeisance and prayed for peace and tranquility in the state.
