The Diwali box office clash between Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has escalated, with T-Series approaching the Competition Commission of India (CCI). With less than 10 days until the films’ release, T-Series, producers of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, accused the makers of Singham Again of unfair screen allocation practices.

T-Series has petitioned the CCI, seeking a fair 50-50% split in screen allocation for both films. A source revealed that PVR Pictures, the distributor of Singham Again, has secured over 60% of shows in PVR Inox theaters, with some single-screen theaters dedicating all their shows to Singham Again. T-Series, facing limited screen time, decided to request CCI’s intervention.

This isn’t the first time Ajay Devgn has encountered such an issue. In 2012, he approached the CCI when Son of Sardaar clashed with Yash Chopra’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan over screen sharing during Diwali.

Singham Again, directed by Rohit Shetty, features an ensemble cast including Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, and Deepika Padukone. Meanwhile, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 stars Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, and Madhuri Dixit. Both films are set to release on November 1, making this clash one of the most anticipated box office battles of the year.

Film business expert Girish Johar weighed in, noting that box office clashes are not new in the industry. He explained that demand and content usually determine which film prevails in the long run. He also pointed out the irony of Devgn’s current situation, recalling how Devgn’s company filed a similar complaint in 2012.

The CCI’s response remains uncertain, but Johar expressed skepticism, suggesting market forces may ultimately decide the outcome. Fans and the industry are closely watching this high-stakes battle.
