Shah Rukh Khan feels ’30’ at 60, talks strict Director Sidharth Anand on King set

Shah Rukh Khan left fans in awe at an event in Dubai’s Global Village on Sunday. Videos and pictures of the actor entertaining the crowd flooded social media. Shah Rukh spoke from the stage, joking, “I am turning 60 in one more year, but damn, I look like 30.” He added, laughing, “I just want to tell you, ‘Main kuch cheezein bhool jaata hoon yaar (I forget a few things).’”

The actor also discussed his upcoming film King. He revealed he was filming in both Dubai and Mumbai, saying, “I’m shooting it in Mumbai now when I go back in a couple of months.” He praised his director, Sidharth Anand, calling him very strict. “He made Pathaan. So, he is very strict. He said, ‘Don’t tell people about the film, what you are doing in it.’” Shah Rukh added, “I can’t tell you much, but I can assure you it will entertain you, and you’ll have fun.” He also humorously shared how the film’s title came about: “Now Shah Rukh Khan as Shah Rukh Khan in King. That was a bit of a show-off.”

The host asked Shah Rukh about his character’s name from the film Billu. When the audience shouted it out, Shah Rukh replied, “Mujhe maloom hai, maine kisise nahi pucha (I know it, I didn’t ask anyone), it’s Sahir Khan.” He took a moment to give advice to men worldwide, telling them to “show immense respect to all women you meet.” He urged men to listen and understand women, stressing the importance of respect.

Shah Rukh entertained the crowd by repeating iconic lines from his films such as Jawan, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Don, and Jab Tak Hai Jaan. Fans cheered as he danced to his hit songs, including Chammak Challo, Jhoome Jo Pathaan, and Chaiyya Chaiyya. He also sang Chaleya, a popular track from Jawan.
