Severe earthquake tremors in Chile
Chile, 14 June(HS): An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.5 on the Richter Scale hit Coquimbo.T he earthquake intensity at the Richter scale in Chile’s Coquimbo is 6.5. However, there is no news of the loss of any commodity at the moment.
US Geological Survey said the epicentre of the earthquake was at Coquimbo in the depths of 10 kilometres and 51 miles (82 kilometres) west. Chile is one of the countries in the world where most earthquakes occur. Earlier in February 2010, there was an earthquake in Chile which killed nearly 500 people.
