Sealing police team attacked in UP

Lucknow,April 11(HS)Though lockdown or sealing of areas where a large number of Corona positive cases have been found is helpful in combating the disease, people in some parts of Uttar Pradesh are pelting stones and not cooperating with the police teams which go to them for the purpose.

The latest incident of stone pelting has been reported from Meerut in the western part of the state.A number of policemen including an inspector have been injured.

The police had gone to seal a lane where three Jamaatis were staying in a mosque.In a test on Friday they were found to be Corona positive.

The police team ,therefore,wanted to put up barricades disallowing others to visit the area.The aim was to contain the virus.

Trouble makers are being identified. Strict action will be taken against them as chief minister Yogi Adityanath has zero-tolerance in such cases.
