Sachin Bansal to invest Rs. 200 crores in debts of Piramal
New Delhi, July. 15(HS): Sachin Bansal, a known tech entrepreneur in investment arena of startup ecosystem, has purchased Rs. 200 crore debt paper of financial arm of Piramal Group having maturity of 2 years and carrying 9.5 pc annual interest. This financial arm of Piramal group is mainly engaged in wholesale and corporate debt providing avenues of investment to the global and domestic entrepreneurs.
After selling his stake of 5.5 pc in Flipkart, Sachin Bansal has been mainly interested in investment in debt instruments.
It is noteworthy that this financial arms of Piramal group values around Rs. 27500 crore and Rs. 6900 crore is supposed to be obtained from Rs. 690000 crore Softbank Vision Fund as per the media report.
Sachin Bansal has also invested Rs. 250 crore in NBFCs such as- Altico Capital, IndoStar Capital each and Rs. 200 crore in Northern Arc Capital through debt instruments. He has also invested in fintech and agritech firms by acquiring them under his entity ‘BAC Acquisitions’ by quitting his debt investment.
