The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has unveiled its new office complex, Keshav Kunj, in New Delhi. Located at Jhandewala, this sprawling facility covers five lakh square feet and features state-of-the-art infrastructure. Built with ₹150 crore, the complex stands as a testament to the organization’s growing influence and modern approach.
Keshav Kunj spans four acres and includes three towers: “Sadhana,” “Prerana,” and “Archana.” These towers house 300 rooms, office spaces, conference halls, and auditoriums. While Sadhana is dedicated to the organization’s offices, Prerana and Archana are residential complexes. A large open space between the towers includes a manicured lawn and a statue of RSS founder Keshav Baliram Hedgewar. The complex also hosts daily shakhas and provides parking for up to 270 cars.
The headquarters was built entirely with public donations from 75,000 contributors, ranging from ₹5 to several lakhs. This reflects the deep-rooted support the RSS enjoys among its followers. The new facility replaces the Udaseen Ashram, where RSS had functioned for the past eight years.
The complex is designed to serve multiple functions. It will support training, meetings, and events, thanks to its three auditoriums, which can accommodate over 1,300 people. The Ashok Singhal Auditorium, named after the former VHP president, features stadium seating and cushioned sofas. Keshav Kunj also boasts a hospital, library, mess, and canteen facilities. The library, Keshav Pustakalaya, on the 10th floor, will offer spaces for research on RSS-related topics.
Notably, Keshav Kunj has an environmentally conscious design. The building’s windows feature facades inspired by traditional architecture from Rajasthan and Gujarat. To minimize wood usage, 1,000 granite frames were incorporated into the construction. Additionally, the complex will house the Dilli Prant Karyalay and Suruchi Prakashan offices.
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat will host a Karyakarta Milan at the new headquarters on February 19, ahead of the Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha in Bengaluru from March 21-23. The headquarters will play a crucial role in strengthening the organization’s operations and its outreach.
