Rishabh Pant Limps After Knee injury, skips wicketkeeping drills

India continued their Champions Trophy preparations with a second training session at the ICC Academy in Dubai on Monday. Rishabh Pant, recovering from a knee injury, looked uncomfortable. He skipped wicketkeeping drills and struggled during batting practice.

On Sunday, Hardik Pandya’s powerful shot struck Pant’s knee during a net session. Physio Kamlesh Jain rushed to assist him, while Pandya checked in on him. Pant resumed batting later, easing immediate concerns.

Despite his return on Sunday, Pant appeared in discomfort on Monday. He limped slightly and skipped wicketkeeping and fielding drills. While batting, he looked rusty, missing and edging several deliveries.

KL Rahul, backed by head coach Gautam Gambhir as India’s first-choice wicketkeeper, focused on aggressive batting. He practiced big shots and cleared the ropes consistently. With an expected middle-order role, he worked on accelerating in the final overs.
