BJP leader Ashish Sood reaffirmed the party’s commitment to building a “Viksit Delhi” before Rekha Gupta’s swearing-in ceremony. He vowed action against those who “looted Delhi,” emphasizing BJP’s stance on corruption.

Rekha Gupta, the fourth woman CM of Delhi, will succeed AAP’s Atishi. A Shalimar Bagh MLA, she has held key roles in BJP’s Mahila Morcha and its national executive committee. She has led several welfare campaigns for marginalized communities and women.

BJP repeatedly accused AAP of corruption, focusing on the renovation of Kejriwal’s residence. The Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) ordered a probe into the alleged misuse of public funds. The report flagged violations in the construction of Kejriwal’s “Sheesh Mahal,” covering 40,000 square yards. Gupta filed a complaint in October 2024, leading to the CVC investigation. She has refused to stay at the bungalow.

BJP won a historic victory in the Delhi Assembly elections after 27 years. The party secured 48 out of 70 seats, reducing AAP to just 22. Congress failed to win any seats for the third consecutive election.

With Gupta at the helm, BJP aims to transform Delhi’s governance. The party promises transparency, accountability, and rapid development.
