Ibrahim Ali Khan, son of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, will debut in Netflix’s Nadaaniyan, a romantic drama starring Khushi Kapoor. On Tuesday, both actors shared a promotional video, teasing the teaser and release date. However, their exaggerated performances sparked criticism online.

Khushi posted an Instagram Reel featuring Ibrahim trying to meet her, only to be snubbed as the shoot ended. This left him in tears. She captioned it, “Clearly his #Galatfehmi,” referencing a song from the film. Reddit users mocked the video, calling it “cringe-worthy.” Many questioned the target audience and doubted its appeal beyond TikTok-style content.

Critics argued that the actors harmed their own image. One Reddit user wrote, “This is another level of bad… Ibrahim’s aura is fading.” Others slammed nepotism, stating, “The bar keeps getting lower for these nepo kids.” Many suggested they hire better social media managers. A harsh comment read, “They need to fire everyone giving them these ideas.”

Netflix describes Nadaaniyan as a love story capturing the thrill and innocence of first love. The plot follows Piya, a bold South Delhi girl, and Arjun, a determined Noida boy. Their contrasting worlds collide, leading to a journey of love, mischief, and chaos.

Nadaaniyan features Mahima Chaudhary, Suniel Shetty, Dia Mirza, and Jugal Hansraj. Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra produced it under Dharmatic Entertainment. The film also marks director Shauna Gautam’s debut, who previously assisted Karan Johar on Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
