Re-postmortem on four bodies of Accused in Disha case begins..
Telangana/ Hyderabad: Dec 23: AIIMS has deputed a team of three forensic doctors to conduct re-postmortem of the bodies of the four accused in the rape and murder of a Hyderabad veterinarian, who were killed by police in an encounter on December 6. The second autopsy is being conducted in the mortuary of the state-run Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad
According to Dr. Shravan Medical Superintendent of Gandhi Hospital who spoke to media a short while ago, he said re- postmortem will each body shall take close to two hours. The bodies shall then be handed over to relatives of the dead soon after re-postmortem. Two Ambulances have been arranged to take bodies of the dead Jollu Naveen,Jollu Shiva, Arif Mohammad and Chennakeshavulu to their native village in Mahabubnagar district.
Dr. Shravan stated that the re-postmortem report shall be submitted to the state High court by evening 5 PM and the whole process of re-post-mortem shall be video graphed for greater transparency.
Earlier on Saturday, December 21, the Telangana High Court had directed authorities to conduct a second postmortem on the bodies of the four accused. The bodies have been kept at Gandhi Hospital as per an earlier order of the high court after pleas were filed alleging extra-judicial killing of the men and claiming it was a fake encounter. A division bench directed that the autopsy be conducted before Dec 23 and the report be submitted to the Registrar General of the high court by 5 PM today.
