Rajnath Singh pay obeisance to Maa Kamakhya
New Delhi, 18 June (HS): Defense Minister Rajnath Singh went to the Shaktipeeth Kamakhya Dham on the Nilachal mountain of the capital Guwahati on Friday morning to pay obeisance to Mother Kamakhya. During this, he was accompanied by the Chief Minister of Assam, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.
It is to be noted that Rajnath Singh had arrived at Assam-Arunachal border in Lakhimpur district on Thursday and dedicated 12 roads to the nation. He officially inaugurated seven roads of Arunachal there. During this, he also inaugurated the Kimin to Putin link road built by the Border Road Authority. Other important routes were inaugurated online. After this, the Minister returned to Guwahati.
After offering prayers at Kamakhya Dham, the Defense Minister left for an overview of the Corona Care Center set up by DRDO at Sorusajai Stadium in Guwahati.
On Friday morning Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi accorded a ceremonial welcome to the Defense Minister. His wife was also present with the governor. Chief Minister Dr. Sarma was also present on the occasion. Last night, a banquet was hosted by the Governor in the honor of the Defense Minister, in which the Chief Minister, other ministers, senior leaders and officials were present.
