Raina appeales to people to raise their voice against domestic violence
New Delhi,04 May(HS): Suresh Raina, the left-handed explosive batsman of Indian Premier League (IPL) team Chennai Super Kings, on Monday, appealed to the people to raise their voice against inhuman incidents like domestic violence and violence with children.
Raina said that it is sad to see that in the face of the ongoing coronavirus crisis across the world, inhuman incidents like domestic violence and violence with children are increasing.
Raina tweeted, “Lockdown has taught us many ways to build a good relationship with our family. But at the same time, there are reports that how fast cases of domestic violence and child abuse have increased worldwide during lockdown.”
He said, “I appeal to such people to come forward and raise their voice and complain against it and not sit silent.”
It is notable that earlier, Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan and his wife Ayesha had posted a video on social media, in which they gave special messages about domestic violence.
