Rahul Gandhi urges people to ‘speak up against fuel hike’
New Delhi, June 29 (HS) Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi attacked the central government over the increase in the price of crude oil and urged people to join the #SpeakUpAgainstFuelHike campaign. He made an appeal through a video posted on the micro-blogging site Twitter.
“The Central government has left people on their own, during Corona virus pandemic and China situation. The Centre is looting people by increasing fuel prices for consecutive 21 days. Let us raise our voice to compel the government to withdraw increased prices. Post video of people perturbed with fuel prices hike on your social media handles,” says the voiceover in the video.
The Congress party will stage a nationwide protest from Monday against the increase in the prices of petrol and diesel. All Congress leaders, Chief Ministers and other workers will upload videos on their social media profiles on this issue.
