Rahul Gandhi slams Amit Shah saying, ‘all Know India-China Border Reality’
New Delhi, June 8 (HS): Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Monday took a dig at Union Home Minister Amit Shah on his recent statement issued on border security in which Shah had said that after Israel and America, India was the only country who could save its borders from enemies. He shrugged, saying, “Everyone knows the reality of the border, but it is a good to keep yourself happy.”
In a virtual rally that was conducted in Bihar yesterday, Amit Shah made a statement about the security of country’s borders, saying no other previous government could secure its borders as the BJP could do during its tenure.
Shah also said that “India’s defense policy received global acceptance. The whole world agrees that after the United States and Israel, if any country is able to protect its borders, it is India. ” Shah had said that there was a time when anyone would enter our borders but the Modi government has shown courage by performing surgical strikes and air strikes in Pakistan. Today the world believes that India has the ability to protect its borders, Shah reiterated.
Reacting to the Home Minister’s statement, Rahul Gandhi tweeted on Monday, “Everyone knows the reality of ‘border’ but it is good to keep the heart happy ‘Shah-Yad’.”
Rahul’s comments referred to India-China stand-off, where negotiations between the two countries are continuing to resolve the issue. The Congress leader had earlier asked whether the government could confirm that no Chinese soldiers had entered across LAC.
In this rally, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had also claimed that it was the first complete virtual rally in the history of the country. The ruling party said that even in times of disaster like Corona, the BJP could not abandon its public relations rights. It was also reported that the BJP had planned 75 virtual rallies in the coming days.
