Pushpa 2 box office storm: Allu Arjun starrer hits ₹650 Cr in India with strong monday
“Pushpa 2” dominated the box office on Monday, earning an estimated ₹75 crore on its first working day. This pushed its five-day total to ₹661 crore, making it the fastest film to cross ₹600 crore, beating Baahubali 2’s record of six days. The movie has also secured the highest first-week collections, with one day still remaining.
The Hindi version showed exceptional performance, with collections dropping less than 20% from Friday. This decline was due to weekday ticket prices, but audience turnout remained consistent. With Monday’s strong numbers, projections for ₹700-800 crore in Hindi seem possible, though it’s wise to wait a few more days for stability in trends.
In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, collections dropped by about 40% from Friday, primarily due to reduced ticket prices. The film aims to gross ₹300 crore in the Telugu states. If achieved, some distributors might face losses due to high acquisition costs, though the movie itself continues to perform well.
With its robust weekday performance, “Pushpa 2” is on track to become a box office phenomenon across languages, breaking records and setting new benchmarks.
