Punjab’s notorious gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria tested positive for novel corona virus
Gurdaspur,05 May(HS): Jagdeep Singh alias Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, Punjab gangster has tested positive for corona virus on Tuesday afternoon.
Krishan Chand, Gurdaspur Civil Surgeon confirmed that Jagdeep Singh, alias Jaggu Bhagwania was among the 42 persons who have tested positive. He also said that the rest of 41 were pilgrims had returned from Hazur Nanded sahib.
On 30 April, gangster jaggu Bhagwania was brought from Patiala jail by Batala police on production warrant to interrogate in Akali sarpanch Dalbir Singh murder case, Batala SP (Headquarter) Jasbir Singh Rai informed.
Categorized “A” type of gangster, Punjab Police had booked Jaggu Bhagwanpuria in 59 cases of murder, robbery, dacoity and snatching at various police stations in the state.
He also said that around 35 police personnel including Deputy SP and Inspector ranking officers were interrogating and in touch with Bhagwanpuria after which they were put under quarantine and their blood samples were also being taken by a team of doctors. Jaggu Bhagwanpuria will be sent to the hospital for treatment, he added.
Meanwhile, Jaggu’s mother Harjit Kaur, a congress sarpanch from Bhagwanpur village in Batala hold a protest outside the civil line police station in Batala demanding better treatment for her son.
