Project implementation at Shivamogga Airport in full swing

Government of Karnataka has been making the Right choices in terms of Airport Infrastructure development. The Regional Connectivity Scheme RCS UDAN the flag ship program of Ministry of Civil Aviation , MoCA, Government of India has very clearly drafted the way ahead to connect tier II cities.

Realizing the massive opportunity for tapping the potential to the hilt, the infrastructure development department has embarked on a journey of construction of a brand new Airport at Sogane Halli Village, 12 kms from Shivamogga city.
The All weather airport has also been designed to cater large Aircraft’s like Boeing 737, Airbus 320 and medium size ATRs. A site visit to the project is an absolute stunner. The frenzy to stick to deadlines is an indication of the political will of the State Government. The progress of civil works despite the Covid 19 validates the true spirit of the PPP Public Private business collaboration.
“Periodic review , corrective steps are initiated to ensure that we meet our dead line of completion of the work by December 2021 ” said a source at the site.
