Priyanka Vadra dares UP govt, says she is granddaughter of Indira
New Delhi, 26 June (H.S.): If Utter Pradesh government want to take any action against her, it can do so, said Congress General Secretary Priyanka Vadra on Friday.
In a tweet, Priyanka Vadra said she was the granddaughter of Indira Gandhi and her duty towards the people of Uttar Pradesh was her priority and she was not afraid of any action. She will always work to bring the truth to the fore.
Priyanka Gandhi said this in response to a notice issued by the Uttar Pradesh State Child Rights Protection Commission in the case of 57 Corona infected girls in Kanpur Government Girl Child Home.
She tweeted on Friday, “My duty as a public servant is towards the people of Uttar Pradesh and it is my duty to bring the truth before the public, rather than bringing up any government propaganda. The UP government is wasting its time by using its different departments in threatening me.”
“Do whatever you want to do, of course. I will keep the truth in front. I am the granddaughter of Indira Gandhi, not a spokesperson of the BJP like some opposition leaders,” Vadra said.
It is noteworthy that 57 girls were found Corona infected between 17 to 19 June in the Government Girl Child Home in Kanpur. Of these, five were pregnant and one was a patient of Hepatitis.
Priyanka Vadra linked this case to the Deoria and Muzaffarpur scandals and said that there should be a fair investigation in the matter. Meanwhile, on Thursday, the Child Protection Commission issued a notice to Priyanka Gandhi.
