Prime Minister Narendra Modi paying two days visit to Karnataka from today..

Bengaluru,02 January(HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi is paying a two days visit to the state from today. According to the official schedule released to the media, the Prime Minister is slated to take part in three programs in  the premises of Siddaganga Mutt at Kyatsandra on the outskirts of Tumakuru. Later he will take part in the farmers conclave before returning to the city.

On his return from Tumakuru, he will be visiting the Defense Research and Development Organization wherein he will be dedicating the new innovations of the national premier institute to the nation.
The PM will arrive at the Yelahanka Air Force base in the afternoon and will shift into a helicopter along with BS Yediyurappa, Chief Minister to proceed to Tumakuru.
He will be landing at the Tumakuru helipad at around 2.15 pm and proceed by road to the Siddaganga Mutt. Three programs have been planned at the Siddaganga Mutt from 2.30 to 3.15 pm.
First, he will pay obeisance to the samadhi of Dr. Shivakumar Swamiji, the late centenarian pontiff of the renowned Siddaganga Mutt. The Seer lived for 111 years and was revered as the “Walking God” during his lifetime. The free residential institutions impart education to around 15,000 poor and needy children from across the state and country.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to interact with the children of the Mutt in the second program. Later he will lay the foundation to the Museum in the memory of late Dr. Shivakumar Swamiji.
At 3.30 pm the Prime Minister will unveil the second round of the “Kisan Samman” project. About 1.5 lakh farmers from different parts of the state country are expected to participate in the mammoth rally.
The public meeting is being held at the Government Junior College grounds in Tumakuru. In this program, the prime minister will felicitate 30 progressive farmers with “Krishi Karmanya” awards for the years 2016-17 and 2017-18.
In the same program, he will be handing over the first three Kisan Credit Cards to fisherwomen and fishermen from Karwar in the state. These cards will entitle them to avail loans and other such facilities and concessions admissible under various schemes of the Union and State governments.
