President Ram Nath Kovind reaches Varanasi on 3-day visit to UP
Varanasi, 13 March (HS) : President of India Ram Nath Kovind on Saturday reaches Varanasi on a three-day visit to Uttar Pradesh. The Governor of UP Anandiben Patel and the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath received the president at the airport.
The President, in the evening will visit Kashi Vishwanth temple alongwith family members and participate in the Ganga Aarti at Dashaswamedh Ghat.
On Sunday, President Kovind is scheduled to go to Sonbhadra where he will participate in various programmes. He will also Vindhyavasini temple in Mirzapur on the day. He will return to national capital, New Delhi on Monday after participating a programme in Varanasi.
Security arrangements of Varanasi, Sonbhadra and Mirzapur districts have been tightened because of the President’s programmes. Forces from outside have also been deployed in the districts.
Besides, continuous combing is being conducted in the forests and adjoining areas as the venue in Sonbhadra where President has to visit falls in the frontier area.
