Powerful earthquake of 7.8 magnitude in Turkey and Syria, more than 200 dead; PM Modi expressed condolences

A massive 7.8-magnitude earthquake killed 76 people in seven Turkish provinces on Monday and was felt in Cyprus, Lebanon and Syria, toppling dozens of buildings and triggering a search for survivors under rubble in icy streets.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was among the world leaders who reached near earthquake-hit Turkey. PM said, India stands in solidarity with the people of Turkey and is ready to provide all possible assistance to deal with this tragedy.
