Postponement of Tokyo Olympics 2020 gives Narsingh Yadav another chance to qualify
New Delhi, March 27 (HS): It would not be wrong to say that fate favors the brave. Otherwise, hardly anyone would have thought about the return of noted wrestler Narsingh Yadav. On one hand, the country and the world are fighting the Corona epidemic, on the other hand this epidemic has become good news for Narsingh. With the postponement of the Tokyo Olympics 2020, Narsingh Pancham Yadav’s career was restored and the wrestler, who is facing a ban due to dope, has got a chance to participate in the Olympics.
The Indian Wrestling Federation has said that they will not stop him for trying to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics. Narsingh could not play the Olympics in July-August, but now the Olympics have been postponed for a year due to the coronavirus. In such a situation, he can claim 74 kg category, in which India has not achieved the quota.
Before the Rio Olympics, Narsingh was banned for four years for dope convictions, ending in July 2020. That is, he can now stake claim to enter the Olympic qualifier. He is a wrestler of Sushil and Yogeshwar’s stature.
On getting the chance at the Olympics, Narsingh said that he is very happy that he is getting another chance to prove himself. He said that he had full faith in himself that he would definitely get a chance to prove himself.
He said that I always believed that if I have not done something different then nothing will go wrong with me. Winning is the truth. Now with the grace of God I can get another chance.
