Tamil Nadu: Chennai, April 17 (HS):The atmosphere turned pale in Tamil Nadu with the demise of popular Tamil film actor Vivekh.
Vivekh suffered a heart attack yesterday and was admitted to SIMS Hospital at Vadapalani in Chennai.
Popular actor underwent angioplasty and stenting procedure yesterday and was put on ECMO support in the Intensive Care Unit.
He passed away on Saturday at 4:35 am, say sources.
The veteran film actor who made his debut in Manadhil Urudhi Vendum in 1987 was taken to the hospital after he complained of discomfort.
The actor was taken to the hospital by his wife and daughter.
Vivekh was born in Kovilpatti in Tuticorin district in Tamil Nadu and commenced his career in filmdom as an assistant director in 1980s under the famous film director K. Balachandar.
The year 2009 remained a milestone for the veteran actor when he received Padma Shri. The film actor also is known to have admiration for the principles of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, the former President of India.
The actor conveyed the ideals through his roles in the films. Eminent personalities shared their condolence on social media platform.
Film music director D. Imman, Tamil Nadu Health Minister Dr. C. Vijayabaskar were among the eminent personalities.
