The incident took place around 12noon as the agitating students attempted to break barricading to stop progress of agitators toward the Circular Road, which is about one kilometre from the spot. A few minutes before the incident Padmashri Madhu Mansoori had also visited the spot to express his solidarity with the agitators and had expressed his concern over the perennial problem of corruption in the recruitment agency.
S.P (city) Saurabh Kumar was not aware of the development when contacted for comment around 12.25pm. ?I am in a meeting and can?t say why the situation arose,? he said, expressing his inability to give any comment on the matter.
Safique Imam, co-ordinator of Jharkhand Youth Association, said the situation came due to politicisation of the issue. ?As politicians got involved in the incident, the situation came. Mansoori Ji had come and asked agitators not to take law in their hands but despite all the situation came. It is a matter of concern.?
