PM Modi inquires about Covid-19 positive soldiers in Uttarakhand
New Delhi, July 19 (HS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat on the phone and inquired about the soldiers found Corona positive in the state. The Prime Minister wished for their early recovery and said that the state government and army officials, by maintaining mutual coordination, should ensure that the proper treatment should be given to the soldiers.
The Chief Minister informed PM Modi that they were in regular touch with the forces deployed at borders and every necessary item was being made available to them time to time.
Giving information about the latest status of Corona in the state, the Chief Minister said that there has been an increase in Corona positive cases in the past but the situation is under control.
Surveillance and sampling have been significantly increased in the state. ICU, ventilator and oxygen support facilities have also been increased, Rawat said.
In view of the rain, Modi also said that special attention should be paid to disaster management in the state. He said that every support will be given from the Central Government as per the requirement. The Chief Minister told the Prime Minister that the spread of Corona virus and disaster management are constantly being reviewed.
Significantly, in Uttarakhand, 110 military personnel were found to be Corona positive till Saturday. About 100 of these military personnel have been found to be Corona positive within the last four-five days.
